Hustings Court.--The time of this Court yesterday was mostly engaged in the trial of a slave employed by J. T. Vaughan, who was charged with poisoning her master's child. The evidence showed enough guilt to entitle her to receive 39 lashes, which were ordered to be bestowed on her. The case against M. J. Eliott for alleged huckstering was begun yesterday evening. Licenses to Sell Liquor.--The Hustings Court yesterday refused to reconsider its decision of the previous day declining to grant any licenses to sell by ardent of his, or a mixture thereof to be flush at the place where sold. This sellers the question of license, though it by no means puts a stop to the practice of drinking whiskey or selling it.
