Musical items. --Vieuxtemps, the great Belgian violinist, recently reappeared in London, after an absence of eight years. Sims Reeves, the great English tenor, gets two hundred and fifty dollars every time he sings, whether it be in opera, oratorio, concert, or isolated entertainment. Alboni, the Marchesto sisters, and Jetty Treffz are all engaged for the next concert season in London and the English Provinces. Virginia Lorini, the daughter of Mr. Whiting, the actor, is the prima donna of the Italian Opera Company at Berlin. She has attained a marvellous degree of facile, florid execution. La Grange is also singing at Berlin. Miss Abby Fay, of Boston, is at Florence, where she recently sang with success before the Philharmonic Society. She is prepared to accept an engagement for the Somnambula and operas of that genre.
