Rocketts
was the scene of very disorderly conduct last Tuesday night, and window-glass was demolished as if it cost nothing.--A party of youngsters, who had started out on a "bender, " knocked in Sarah Frazier's window, and then, visiting Ellen Welch's grocery, smashed up her glass jars, broke her window, and tried to knock in the side of her head with their fists, but failed to do so. Making their way to another lady's, they gave her a blow with a slung shot and then departed.
Yesterday morning Joseph Young, Edwin Turner, and Henry Recraft, were before the Mayor as participants in this "muss," and, after a hearing, Young was sent on to the Grand Jury to answer an indictment, he being recognized as in the party.
Turner and Becraft are to have another hearing as soon as witnesses can be procured.
