olicited to call upon the Surgeons of the different Louisiana regiments, and request them to make immediate requisition for such medicines and hospital stores as they may require. On motion of Colonel John H. Martin, it was Resolved, That Dr. Luke P. Blackburn and S. L. Chambliss be, and are, appointed agents to solicit contributions of all kinds for the relief of the Soldiers' Association of Louisiana Volunteers. On motion of the Chairman, a vote of thanks was tendered Mrs. Dr. Gaines, of Hanover county, Va., for her disinterested kindness in making up a large supply of sheets for the Louisiana Hospital in this city.
