ns county, April 30, 1842, the son of William A. and Jane Simpson (Griffin) Fuller. His father was born in Laurens county in 1812, was a schssociation and also the National medical association. Captain James A. Griffin Captain James A. Griffin, of Pickens, S. C., was born oCaptain James A. Griffin, of Pickens, S. C., was born on the farm where he now resides, May 25, 1839. His father was Elihu H. Griffin, a farmer of prominence, who died October 2, 1874. His motherccident in a cotton gin shortly after the close of the war. Capt. James A. Griffin was reared on the old Griffin plantation, where he now resiout knowing whether it was a Federal or Confederate command. Lieutenant Griffin called out: What command is this? The reply came: First New York cavalry; what command do you belong to? In answer Griffin wheeled his horse and sped over the hill like the wind, with a shower of bulCaptain Ligon's company, of the First South Carolina regiment, Colonel Griffin.
