Hankins, commanding the Surry Light Artillery, stationed near Richmond, sent to this city, under guard, yesterday afternoon, the following parties, arrested for attempting to escape to the enemy: Privates Joseph A. Pittman, J. T. Little, William T. Bell, Hezekiah Dilk and Charles A. James. They were committed to the Castle to await trial by court-martial.
