Gideon Band. --Rev. W. T. Harris, pastor of the first Methodist church in this city, informs us that a company is forming, the members of which belong to his church, to be called "Gideon's band." Quite a number have already enrolled their names. Now that war is threatening we cannot be too hasty in making preparations, and Gideon's band may render efficient service in the canse, should their aid be required.--Memphis (Tenn.) Argus.
