Mayer's Court Tuesday, March 31st.
--Dick, slave of J. Delarul, was forced twenty five lashes for stealing a pistol from Dennis O'Brien.
The thief was detected and arrested by O'Brien.
Lewis Hynam was arraigned charged with purloining a gold watch from Dr. C. H. Gibbes.
In order to get at the merits of the case the Mayor continued the investigation to another time.
Jerry Hawkins was brought up on the complaint of Patrick Connell, who charged him with an assault with intent to rob. The evidence did not substantiate this grave accusation, and the accused after a thorough inquiry, was honorably discharged.
