ry little business was done. The case of Robert S. Forde was called, but from the same influences which have prompted previous postponements, it was again put off. Forde, it will be recollected, was converted last winter of the murder of Robert E. Dixon and sentenced to eighteen years imprisonment in the penitentiary; but in appeal was subsequently taken to the Court of Appeals, when that court granted the prisoner a new trial. Writs of habeas corpus were awarded C. J. Saunders and Alexander Thompson, made returnable at 11 o'clock this morning. The petitioners claim exemption from military service upon the ground that they are owners of more than sixteen slaves each, between the ages of sixteen and fifty, and are therefore ed to such exemption in accordance with an net of Congress. The Habeas corpus case of J. M. Holman and William L. Saunders, mentioned as having been set for yesterday, were put off till Saturday. The court then adjourned till 11 o'clock to-day.
