patch from Chattanooga says: There has been no fighting in this army since Hooker's attack on Bragg's rear at Ringgold, on the 26th. Bragg was forced to march on, being badly whipped, and inflicting considerable loss upon Hooker. Our loss is about 500 to 600; the enemy's much larger. The army's movements now going on are no Skirmishing and cannonading continued all the day on the left and centre. Gen.
