Watch stealing. --The police brought before the Mayor yesterday a young man named John Howard, charged with stealing a silver watch, worth $150, the property of Thomas Smith. Mr. Smith, on being sworn, stated that Howard was innocent of the theft; that John O'Brien, now confined in the Chimborazo Hospital, had acknowledged te property of Thomas Smith.
