with going at large, was continued, and the darkey sent to jail. John McAnally, a member of Dabney's heavy artillery, was charged with "stealing" from Bernard Tracy a horse valued at $100. The fact was, that McAnally being very drunk, had mounted the horse near the corner of 17th and Broad streets, and on attempting to make the animal go, had fallen in the gutter, from which he was darted to the lock up. The prisoner, who was still under the influence of whiskey, was delivered to Lieut. Charles Hunt, to be sent to his company. Tracy did not appear to prefer any charge against him.
