M.--It is believed here that the reported destruction of the rebel bridge at Williamsport originated in the fact that the bridge at Falling Waters, 5 miles below, was destroyed. An officer who was with the party which destroyed the latter bridge, reports that the party subsequently started to destroy those at Williamsport, but finding Imboden there with a large force, abandoned the enterprise. About 1,500 rebel prisoners, including 37 wagon loads of wounded, arrived here to-day by the Hagerstown pike. They included those captured by Gen. Kilpatrick.
