Soon afterwards the military guard were sent in pursuit and very soon succeeded in recapturing sixteen of the flying Yankees. The prisoners confined in this building are Yankee deserters; but our authorities have very properly ceased to regard them, with few exceptions, in any other light than spies, and they are therefore kept in as close confinement as if they had made no hypocritical professions of attachment to the South.--Among the number recaptured was Peter Kloman, one of the four members of the chain-gang who escaped from that institution yesterday afternoon. We learn that no blame can be attached to the authorities in charge of the Castle, as owing to the inefficiency of the guard allowed, it is seldom that sentinels can be posted on the east side of the building, from which the exit of Yankees was made.
