in 1876 and as captain in 1877-79. Benjamin Simons Lucas Benjamin Simons Lucas, of HartsvillBenjamin Simons Lucas, of Hartsville, was born in Kershaw county, S. C., November 4, 1833. He was educated at the Citadel military sion, Drewry's Bluff, Battery Wagner (which Captain Lucas characterizes as a perfect butcher pen), SC., and Thomas C. is a commercial traveler. Dr. Lucas is a member of Camp Darlington, at Darlingtoty, November 21, 1831. His father was Benjamin Simons Lucas, an eminent physician, born at Charlesndon, by which he amassed a large fortune.
