Ran away--$25 reward.
--Ran away, on the 24th inst., from Hanover Junction, John H. Williams.
He is about 24 years old, five feet three or four inches high of dark gingerbread color, full face, thick set, and had on when he left a straw hat and brown jeans coat.
Said boy has a bad appearance when spoken to, and claims to be free.
I will pay the above reward of $15 for his delivery to me, at Mrs. Ladd's boarding house, on Franklin street, between 17th and 18th or at Robt Lumpkin's jail [oc 25--6t*] Wm. A. Allen.

--Was brought to my jail.
Sept. 7th, 1863, a negro man named George Washington; says be belongs to Joseph Bryant, of Bosher Parish Louisiana, and was hired in the army to cook for Burrel McKinney, of the 9th Louisiana regiment, and was captured by the Yankees with our wagon trains in Pennsylvania, and made his escape near Fredericksburg and swam the river, and says that Col. Hodge, of the 9th Louisiana regiment, is acquainted with him. Said negro is of a black complexion and about 23 years old, is 5 feet 10 inches high, and smartly knock-kneed.
The owner will come forward, pay expenses, and take him away. Robt Lumpkin. oc 5--1aw5t

--Ran away from Anderson Willis, on the 9th of Yanceyville, Caswell county, N C, a negro named Wm Isaac, about 27 or 28 years old, gingerbread color, about 5 feet 8 or 9 inches Said negro was bought from Mary C Chesterfield county, Va, and has some in Prince Edward county.

--Ran away from Mr Anderson Willis, on the 2nd of May from Yanceyville, Caswell county, N C, a negro named Wm Isaac, about 27 or 28 years old of a dark gingerbread color, about 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high.
Said negro was bought from Mary C Charse, of Chester field county, Va, and has some relatives living in Prince Edward county.
He has been with Mrs Clarke, near Coalfield, for some time, I will pay the above reward of $500 for the arrest and delivery of said negro to Mr Robt Lumpkin, Richmond.
