Singular case of murder.
--Patrick Mallory, a returned soldier, was arrested a few days since on the charge of murdering his wife, Ann, by shooting her with a musket, at Martin's Corners.
It appears that no person saw the act, and Mallory relates the circumstances as follows: He was shooting at a mark near the house with a musket, and at one time, as he was about to fire, he observed a dog chasing his cat, and turned to fire at him.
