Heavy robbery. --On Saturday night, Mr. Wm. Mallory, residing on Franklin street, discovered that a bureau in his bed-chamber had been opened by false keys, and the sum of $3,000 stolen, of which $60 were in gold, the balance in bank notes. Three keys were found left by the thief. --There was a large sum of money in Confederate notes, some jewelry, pearls, and other valuable articles left untouched. From the locality of the bed room, it is supposed, none but an inmate of the house could have access to it. A negro man, a servant in the house, has been arrested on suspicion.--Petersburg Register.
