The Clerk then proceeded to call the roll, and the vote resulted as follows: Farish 14, Rives 26, Thompson 37, all others 65. There being no election, Mr. Marr, of Fauquier, moved a suspension of the rules to allow him to introduce a resolution, for the withdrawal of all but the three highest candidates.
