Latest from Europe. --By the arrival of the Virginia, at New York, we have interesting news from Europe. Victoria had announced her intention of holding a Court at Buckingham Palace on the 6th inst. Owing to difficulties which have arisen as to the presumptive succession to the Austrian crown, Maximilian has again postponed his acceptance of the Mexican crown. The Danish war "drags its slow length along." The Prussians attempted to storm Duppeln, but were repulsed after a five hours engagement. The Pope has recovered from his late serious Illness.

The New York News, commenting upon the resolution of Winter Davis, adopted unanimously by the House of Representatives, to the effect that the United States will not recotions. They will recognize the new empire, and have an ambassador at the Court by the time of Maximilian's arrival. The people may be gratified by all this big talk, but it is mere talk after all. Ntion not to recognize the Confederacy. Mr. Dayton, however, had already hastened to recognize Maximilian, and it was that consideration which induced Maximilian to repel the advances of the ConfederaMaximilian to repel the advances of the Confederacy.
