Sigismond Zalaski, represented to be a 2d Lieutenant in the regular army of the Confederate States, was charged by Captain William S. Reid, of the President's Guard, with stealing from him an India rubber overcoat, worth $40, at Mrs. A. P. Maynard's boarding house. A deal of testimony was preferred as to the good character of Lieut. Zalaski; but the fact that the coat, after being missed had been found locked up in his trunk being testified to the Mayor, he committed the accused for examination before a called Court on the 3d of November.
