--Joseph J. McCarthy, the man charged with brutally murdering his wife, at the corner of 7th and Cary sts., last Thursday night, and who had two severe wounds on his person when arrested, has so far recovered as to be able to walk about the prison yard, where he is confined.
He declines to converse about the murder, and gives no account of his own wounds.
The Mayor has fixed next Tuesday for his examination.
