We are indebted to D. G. Duncan, Esq., for the following private dispatch:
Manassas Junction, June 18--Col. Gregg of the First South Carolina Regiment, with.
reconnoitering party, consisting of part of the First South Carolina Regiment, with two guns and two companies of Dragoons, started on Sunday morning last for Great Falls of Potomac.
On Monday evening, when on their return, they came to Vienna station on the Loudoun and Hampshire Railroad, and met there a train bearing the Fifth Ohio Regiment, Col. McCook.
At the first fire, six cars were detached and the enemy fied, leaving six killed and wounded.
