Colonel Gillespie and Lieutenant-Colonel Baulcum were both wounded. In Brigadier-General Walthall's brigade, Lieutenant-Colonel McKelvane, Twenty-fourth Mississippi, Lieutenant-Colonel Morgan, Twenty-ninth Mississippi, Major Pegram, Thirty-fourth Mncountered in front of my left and centre, the two regiments on the right, Twenty-fourth Mississippi regiment (Lieutenant-Colonel McKelvane) and Twenty-seventh Mississippi regiment (Colonel Campbell), meeting no opposition, except in front of the two Major-General Cheatham's command just then advanced.
