special correspondent of the Atlanta Register, in a dispatch to that paper, says: The enemy has but small force picketing this side of Missionary Ridge. From Rossville to Red House, there are estimated to be only ten thousand Yankees garrisoning Chattanooga. Ten thousand are being concentrated at Cleveland. There is a division this side of Lenoir's. The enemy are employed in repairing bridges and accumulating supplies at Chattanooga. The enemy will not be ready to move before April. Sherman's expedition directed against Mobile consists of three columns. The fifteenth Army Corps, under Logan; the sixteenth under Hurlburt, the seventeenth under McPherson, and a division of cavalry under W. D. Smith. Our army is increasing rapidly in strength. The repeal of the substitute law has brought back thousands of veterans to the ranks. Everything indicates a brilliant and successful campaign. Our hopes were never brighter — our prospects never more flattering.
