Henrich Meyers was committed to jail yesterday, by the Mayor, on failing to give security not to indulge, in future, in certain fantastic capers, against which the law has set its face, and which generally, on very slight examination, are found to be caused by the too free absorption of subtle liquors. Meyers' spirit was further "agonized" by being put down as a working member among the city's guests now congregated in the jail.
