ty. The lower House of the Legislature, yesterday, by a small majority, voted in favor of adjourning to Charleston. The Senate may concur on Monday. But few delegates to the Convention have yet arrived. Messrs. Howell Cobb and Porcher Miles are here, also Hooper, the Commissioner from Mississippi, and Elmore, from Alabama. The beginning and end of all conversation that South Carolina will promptly pass an ordinance of secession, whether weal or woe wilde, and at once assumelina the result of which, God alone knows. He implored God to help the State. A resolution was offered that when the Convention adjourn it shall adjourn to meet at Charleston to-morrow at 4 o'clock. The resolution caused debate. Mr. Miles appealed to the Convention not to adjourn to Charleston, but remain here regardless of small-pox or other physical or moral causes, and discharge the duties required by South Carolina.
