1st of January, 1864. The House refused to concur in the amendment of the Senate to the bill to regulate impressments, so as to strike out the first section, and returned the bill to the Senate. A bill was introduced, and referred, by Mr. Miles, to appoint additional officers of artillery for ordnance duty. Mr. Miles submitted the following resolutions in relation to the re-enlistment of troops, which were unanimously adopted.
