John Burke, a person habited in the garb of a sailor, was carried before the Mayor yesterday for violently assaulting and wounding Sergeant John Mooney, of the Marine Corps. The latter was also present, having been arrested for getting drunk and having in his possession a slung-shot. Both parties were committed for a further hearing.
