nother, at a market, either for himself or any other person, on the same day that he is a seller thereof, any butter, eggs, or fowls. Any person violating this section shall forfeit what is purchased, and shall, for every such violation, pay a fine of not less than ten nor more than fifty dollars; and if he be guilty a second time of such violation, shall, in addition to the fine therefore, be prohibited forever afterwards, either as principal or agent for another, from offering for sale at either market any of said articles. And if any person shall sell, or offer for sale, anything whatever at any market in said city, after he shall have been so prohibited, the thing so sold, or offered for sale, shall be forfeited to the city, and be seized and sold by the clerk of the market for the benefit of the city; and the party so offending shall, moreover, be fined fifty dollars for each thing so sold, or offered for sale, by him.
