The Monthly meeting of the Young men's Christian Association was held at the rooms on Tuesday night. Mr. Lucas, Chairman of the Committee on Lectures, reported that the usual winter course would be commenced in October. This will be a matter of gratification to our entire community, as every one remembers with pleasure the excellence of the last course. P. G. Nicholas, of the Committee on the Library, stated that an addition of several hundred volumes would soon be made to the library of the Association. Mr. Stevens, of the Committee on Bible Classes, reported that it was designed soon to organize classes for young men, and that the committee was further considering the propriety of establishing bible classes in the hospitals of the city. Mr. Sleight, of the Committee on Religious Exercises, reported an increased attendance and interest at the daily prayer meetings, and suggested the importance of holding meetings of a like character in the various "soldiers' homes" in Richmo
