Nott, Samuel 1788-1869
Missionary; born in Franklin, Conn., Sept. 11, 1788; was the last survivor of the first band of missionaries sent out to India by the American board of foreign missions in 1812.
He was ordained just before his departure.
He returned in 1816, and continued to preach and teach school nearly the whole of the remainder of his life.
He died in Hartford, June 1, 1869.
