Fined.
--The city treasury was enriched yesterday by the amount of several fines imposed on impetuous young men arraigned for fast riding in the public streets — an exercise forbid alike by-civil-and martial law. Jacob Miller and James Gaines, arrested by the Provost Marshal and sent before the Mayor for the above-named offence, were each fined $10. A similar fine was assessed against.
Simon O'Neal, a soldier who had ran into and broken H. H. Sinclair's buggy.
The latter's arrest was also ordered by the Provost Marshal.
