Sale of a Painting. --A copy of Roben's "Descent from the Cross," in oil, was sold at auction yesterday by Kent, Paine & Co for $165, Mr. C. W. Allen purchaser. The bidding was quite spirited, commencing at $50, and soon running up to the sum it which it was knock out above named. This, however, can scarcely be taken as a criterion for the sale of works of art in Richmond at present, since it is but recently that a collection of fine pictures were offered at auction and withdrawn for want of bidders.
