The larger part of the naval gunboats and double-enders have passed the bar of New inlet, and two of them have passed up to a point opposite Battery Lamb. The boats are sweeping for torpedoes. The Tacony was the first large vessel-of-war which entered the river this afternoon (18th). She fired at Battery Lamb, and afterwards her boats' crews landed and set fire to the quarters in the rear of the fort, which made a large conflagration.
