On motion of Mr. Perkins, of La., the report and resolutions were referred to the Committee of Ways and Means. Mr. Kenner, of La., from the Committee of Ways and Means, asked leave to report a bill making appropriations for the expenses of Government. Mr. Miles, of S. C., called up the regular order of the day — the Tax bill.
