Twenty Dollars reward. --Left camp (three miles East of Richmond,) on the 8th instant, my Boy Charles, since which time I have not heard of him. He is between 40 and 48 years of age, hair slightly grey, a yellow complexion, five feet nine or ten inches high, weighs about 150 or 160 pounds, quick spoken, and his nose has the appearance of having been mashed or broken in. It may be that he has accidentally gotten with some other regiment. Any information concerning him will be thankfully received, and the above reward paid for his delivery, either to Hon. R. H. Twenty dollars reward. --Ran away on Saturday, August 30th, my boy Charles. He is between forty and forty-five years of age, dark mulatto, heavy set, about 160 pounds weight five feet nine or ten inches high, and has a broken nose, which turns up, appearing somewhat like a bull dog's. He had on when he left gray pants, check shirt, a pair of Government made shoes, and a wool hat. He is supposed to be down about Rocketts. Case of Charles, slave of Wm. Redwood, charged with insolence to R. D. Mitchell, was continued on account of the absence of the witness. Walter Stultz, a lad about ten years of age, was brought up for going into the grocery of Turner & Perry, corner of 6th and Broad streets, Friday evening, and taking $39.10 out of their till. The lad was apprehended in the act, but he being within the age which the law declares one incapable of crime from a want of knowledge, the Mayor returned him to his parents, with the request that they would adjudicate the matter at home.

A negro named Morgan, sentenced to be hung by the Hustings Court of Petersburg, for setting fire to the large building on Perry at, known as the first North Carolina Hospital, was executed at the Fair Grounds, near that city, on Friday last.
bug. --The New York Express prints a column of the history of an attempt by a Dr. Perkins, of Oneida, Madison county, to gull the public in the city with an extraordinary lusus watura, in the shape of a "carbonized woman. " The subject is a Miss Perry of Oneida, a lady of thirty-seven years, who has been it seems for fourteen years past turning into charcoal so silently and unostentatiously that persons beyond her immediate neighborhood knew nothing of the strange occurrence till Dr. Perkinsable compensation per head. First she was introduced to a broker of speculative turn of mind, and afterward "to the faculty," who instituted a scientific examination of the wonderful woman. The result of the examination was the discovery that Miss Perry's charcoal skin was manufactured at New York Mills, covered with charcoal dust, and gummed tightly over the natural epidermis; in fact, the maiden was peeled, and stood before the grave physicians with no peculiarities to distinguish her from t
