$20 reward. --Ranaway, from John Quarles's brickyard, in the city of Richmond, where he was hired for the present year, on or about the 15th of April, a negro boy named Humphrey. He is about 20 years old, well built, quite dark and full featured, with a small scar on one of his cheeks; no other scar or mark recollected. He generally looks down when spoken to. The last time he was seen he was on the York River cars, supposed to be on his way to Yorktown or some other place on the peninsula. He may have passed himself off as a free negro and hired himself to some company, as a good many soldiers were on the cars the day he was seen on them. The above reward will be paid if delivered to Miles C. Eggleston, in the city of Richmond, or to me, in the county of Hanover, near Old Church Post-Office. my 9--5 Wm. Parsley.
