Bills Passed.--Senate bill for the protection of the fisheries in the waters of the Potomac and Chesapeake Bay; House bill authorizing the trustees of the First Presbyterian Church, in the city of Portsmouth, to execute a deed of trust on said property; House bill for the encouragement of certain volunteer military companies in the city of Wheeling; Senate bill transferring the Huttonsville and Huntersville Road to the counties through which it passes; Senate bill refunding $79.07 to James Hewett, James Bradford, and Peter Grandsires; Senate bill refunding to Jas. S. Connel, and Daniel Polsey, a sum of money improperly paid by them into the treasury as tax on land in Roane county; Senate bill refunding to Elizabeth C. Richardson, of Henrico county, a sum of money paid on an erroneous assessment of land, and for correcting said assessment. On motion, the Senate adjourned.

The House was notified that the Senate had agreed to the amendment proposed by the House to Senate bill to amend the 23d section of the 61st chapter of the Code, entitled "of works of internal improvement." Senate bill establishing an inspection of leather for the county of Hampshire, was laid on the table. The Finance Committee of the House reported in favor of Senate bill refunding to Elizabeth C. Richardson, of Henrico county, a sum of money paid by her on an erroneous assessment of land, and for correcting said assessment. Mr. Collier offered a resolution for a final adjournment on the 25th inst., with the consent of the Senate. Laid on the table. On motion of Mr. Christian, the House proceeded to the consideration of Senate bill "incorporating the Southern Express Company." Mr. Myers proposed an amendment striking out $50,000 and inserting $100,000. --Opposed by Mr. Magrud
