asualties. At the battle of Seven Pines, May 31, 1862, twelve of this fine company were killed on the field, namely: C. C. Bartles, Joel Coffey, J. C. Cunningham, W. H. Crow, William Fields, Joseph Moore, F. M. Merrell, F. P. Patterson, A. G. Roberts, William Taylor, James Hudson and W. W. Hartman. Thirty-five (35) others of the company, were wounded but recovered. Fifty-six (56) of the company were in this battle. There were 101 members in the company originally. The following we, Cercy, G. W. Dyap, W. F. Dyap, Lowry, McNeal, Pritchett, E. L. Roads, Shudds, Strand, all slightly; J. M. Matheny, mortally—total 16. Company E—Corporal Cunningham, Privates Bardis, Joseph Coffee, W. H. Crow, James Moore, B. F. Murrill, A. G. Roberts—total 7.
