Robinson, raised his musket and fired, killing him instantly. The verdict of the inquest was in accordance with the above facts, and exonerated Robinson from all blame in the matter. Henrico county --On Saturday last, Constable Robinson, of Henrico, arrested a white man, named James M Watkins, charged with attempting to run off a slave woman belonging to Mrs. Armistead, residing on Union Hillustice Nettles investigated the matter, but failed to recover sufficient evidence upon which to send the on. The same officer arrested, on Sunday morning. Susan, slave of William J Gentry, charged with breaking her officer's bureau drawer open and stealing there from seven hundred dollars. She was subsequently entrusted to the custody of Mr. Gentry for her appearance before Justice Nettles yesterday, but during Sunday night she made her escape and has not been heard from.
