From Northern Virginia.
By the Central train last night we have nothing further with reference to the reported movements of the Yankees in Madison county.
Matters are represented to be entirely quiet.
By the Fredericksburg train we learn that a regiment of Yankee cavalry made their appearance on the Stafford side of the Rappahannock, opposite Ely's Ford, on Tuesday, and that a squadron crossed over to the south side of the river.
Word was immediately communicated to the camp of Col. Rosser and the 12th Virginia cavalry sent after them.
Before our men got more than half-way to the ford they were informed by a courier that the enemy had recrossed and disappeared.
