count. John Henry, free negro from Brunswick, residing here without authority, was ordered to go back as speedily as possible. Noah, slave of Robert Andrews, found at Anna Thompson's house, was ordered a whipping and committed. The police having made an entry on Wednesday night into the tenement near the bridge on the street leading past the City Jail, the following parties were arraigned as the result of the raid, viz: Frank Mathews, Louisa Williams, Hannah L. Atwell, and Fanny Seymour, females, and Edward J. Costello and Washington Goodrick, males. The women were required as dissolute characters, &c., to give security in $500 for their good behavior, and the same amount to appear before the grand jury and answer an indictment. Costello having been found at an alleged house of ill repute, was required to give security for his good behavior. Goodrick, in addition to security for his good behavior in $1,000, was required to give the same amount for cursing and abusing
