The Senate met at 12 o'clock M. Vice-President Stephens in the chair.
Mr. Maxwell, of Florida, offered the following, which was agreed to:
"Resolved, That the President be respectfully requested to furnish to the Senate, if not incompatible with the public interests, a copy of the correspondence, if any, between the Government of the United States and the commissioners recently sent by him to that Government, and a ution was adopted.
