econd line, consisting of Maney's command on the right and Strahl's on the left, is far in the rear. However, Van Derveerrected against him by Cheatham. The latter has brought up Strahl's brigade, which relieves the weary soldiers of Preston Sm Maney's retreat causes a like movement on the part of Strahl.
