Watson, of Nottoway county, hired to work on the Richmond & Danville Railroad. He had a pass to go to his master's on the 19th inst., since which time he has not been heard from. He is a dark mulatto, about five feet ten inches high, and is of slender build, very sprightly, and about 15 years old. He is supposed to be either at Petersburg or Lynchburg. Resignation and appointment. --Colonel C. G. Talcott, the well-known superintendent of the Richmond and Danville railroad, the public will regret to learn, has resigned his position, to take effect immediately. Mr. Thomas Dodamead, for a long time connected with the Richmond and Petersburg and Virginia Central railroads; but more recently of the Virginia and Tennessee railroad, has been tendered the vacancy, which, we learn, he has accepted.
