Political Rejoicing in Sr. Louis.
--The steamboatmen's parade at St. Louis, Friday night, in honor of the election of D. G. Taylor, Mayor, was the most unique ever seen in that city.
About thirty yawis, mounted on wheels, profusely decorated with banners and transparencies, together with a large number of omnibuses, carriages, horsemen, and citizens afoot, were in the procession, and the street densely thronged with enthusiastic spectators.
The Republican and Herald printing offices, and a great many private dwellings, were brilliantly illuminated, and the display of torches, pyrotechnics and bonfires was very fine.
A salute of 150 guns was fired in the evening.
