The damage we received was from the fire of a company of the Zouaves, which had formed into line on the edge of the woods before we charged, killing nine of our men. It is not true, as stated by one of your correspondents, that Capt. Carter's was the only company that made the charge. Capt. Effects of whiskey. --Several men were conveyed to the city jail yesterday by the pollen, having been sent thither by the Mayor in default of surety for their good behavior, on the charge of drunkenness. Among them were the following men: James Taylor, James Mulliher, Wm. H. McDonald, John Holt, Wm. Naidel, and August Belkins. Some of the parties belong to the volunteer forces now encamped in the vicinity of this city.
