ffered to the friends of secession, and all others who may desire to participate, to-day. A number of the citizens of Chesterfield, aided by large delegations from this city and Petersburg, design raising a "secession pole" at the little village of Chester, which will be graced with a beautiful flag. --Among the speakers expected to be present are the Hon. Roger A. Pryor, Gen. Thomas P. August, Gen. J. L. Kemper, and Messrs. B. B. Douglass, Chas. F. Collier, and Thos. M. Isbell. Excursion trains will leave Richmond and Petersburg simultaneously, at ten o'clock, and return tickets will be issued for the trip. A beautiful flag of the Southern Confederacy will also be raised to-day, in Hanover county, at the head of the Mechanicsville Turnpike. It bears seven stars, in a blue field, a blank space being left in the centre for Virginia, when she shall wheel into line. Three broad stripes, two red, the middle one white, complete the ensemble. A glorious celebration is anticipated.
