olina was also represented by Brigadier-General William P. Roberts, who was the youngest officer of that rank in the Confederate service, and by two camps of veterans, these being Charles F. Fisher Camp, of Salisbury, fifty-seven men, and the Person County Camp, with sixty two men. The Salisbury Camp is well known in Richmond, having headed the veterans at the Lee monument unveiling. They wore yesterday their familiar white helmets, and marched well, as did the Person county veterans. There Person county veterans. There were number of one-armed men, and some with only one leg. General Roberts, who, because of his extreme youth, was known as the boy brigadier, was State Auditor of North Carolina a few years ago. Among the North Carolina officers who were here, but not in the parade, were Major W. T. Hughes, of the First Regiment; Colonel F. A. Fires in North Carolina. --The Petersburg Express learns from a gentleman who reached that city on Monday, that the extensive tobacco factory of George W. Thompson, at Milton, N. C., was totally destroyed by fire a few evenings since. Mr. John Irvin lost 20,000 lbs. loose tobacco, which had been stored in the building, and Mr. James Burton had 40 boxes of manufactured, which was burnt. The building was valued at $2,500.--No insurance on factory or its contents. The tobacco factory of Mr. Green Williams, in Person county, N. C., was destroyed by fire on the night of Monday, the 18th ult. One thousand boxes of manufactured tobacco were consumed in the building. Loss $20,000. No insurance.
Ranaway--one hundred dollars reward. --Ranaway from me near Mount Terzah, Person county North Carolina on the 18th inst., my negro man Joe about years of age, a dark mulatto, well built, and very likely; six feet high, and weighs 180 pounds rather bushy head of hair, and heavy beard, can read and write, but writes badly. He may attempt to pass for free, or have a pass. Had on, when he left an oznaburg shirt, blue cotton pants, and wood hat — I bought him in Richmond, in September Dickinson Hill & Co., auctioneers. He was brought to Richmond by Thos. Fisher for Jas. of Hardy county, Va., near Moorfields and I think his purpose is to go back. I will give one hundred dollars if taken out of the State and fifty it taken in the State, for his arrest and confinement in jail, so I get him, or for his delivery at Dickinson & Hill's.
